The Town of Lowestoft was very busy for bus activity yesterday (Wednesday 25th July 2012). Both First Eastern Counties and Anglianbus were running alot in and around the town centre.
First Eastern Counties
Dart R458CCV was running the 103 operating between Lowestoft & Carlton Colville Via Pakefield. Alongside R448CCV & R466CAH.
MPD Darts V357DVG & V359DVG were running the X22 operating between Beccles & Lowestoft.
The MPD Darts were transferred from First Essex not to long ago especially for the new First service, which runs in competion with Anglians 525 service.
Volvo B10BLE Wright Renown 66126 S116 JTP was running the service 1 to Martham.
SLF Darts R465CAH, R463CAH, were running the 104 service. As the picture shows Dart R463CAH has a 'Black eye' which is appearing on alot of Firsts Darts recently.
AU05MUW & Palantine P656UFB was running the X2 between Norwich & Lowestoft.
The 101 Service had a nice selection of buses working it, P435NEX, AU05MUO, & R459BNG.
AU05MUO was based at Norwich not to long ago.
P435NEX loading up to leave Lowestoft Town Centre.
R450CCV was noted running the 105 Lowestoft to Oulton Rock.
AU58ECJ was leaving the Bus Station for Peterborough.
Anglianbus
The 601A which runs a service bewtweet Lowestoft, Kessingland & Pleasurewood Hills., had a couple of buses working the route including YN57HPU & YN03UVR.
Recently transferred from Go-Aheads Metrobus, YN05HFH was working the 602 to Halesworth.
The 601 which links Lowestoft with Kessingland, Great Yarmouth & Southwold had a selection of buses running it, Ex Stagecoach Trident X384NNO, Scanias YN03UVM & YT11LVE.
The 525 which runs in competion with FirstEC's X22 had Beaver AO02LVC working it. This bus is usually kept as a spare at the Beccles depot so I guess it is temporarily replacing another vehicle.
Also working the 525 was X309NNO which was displaying the Summer Special under Beccles on the Destination Display. Which is not a new service, its just advertising the Summer special fares.
Solo AU08GLY was sitting at Lowestoft Bus Station resting between duties.
Ambassador Travel
Solo MX54KYB was running the 607. Which also serves Carlton Colville.
FJ09DXB was running the National Express service 491 to London.
