Special Report Part 1 - Lakeside

Over the past few days I have been out and about in a couple of different parts of East Anglia. Here are a few of my pictures from my day at Lakeside on April 3rd....
First of all is this new Volvo 7900 which is one of the first on the road in Britain.
They beat Lothain Buses' examples by a very short time.

The second example of environmentally friendly buses which can be found
at Lakseide are these Volvo B5LH buses which are operated on the 22 by
Ensignbus.

A First Dennis Trident/Alexander ALX400 on the 265, buses of the same type
can be found here operating with First, Sanders, Norfolk Green and Anglian.
Another type which is also common in Norfolk are Enviro400s. VT59 JPT is
seen here preparing for a journey on the X1 between Basildon and Lakeside.
Similar buses are due in May for the First X1 over here!

That's it for the Lakeside photo special. Head over to my Flickr page for even more photos from the day, and even more from London and Cambridge this week. Part two will be here tomorrow, which is from Cambridge!

  1. The new Volvo 7900 buses are very good, although the white, green and purple colour scheme takes a little getting used to. It's a little disconcerting when the diesel engine cuts off and the electric motor cuts in!
