FirstEC AU05MUW in new First X2 Livery

After the recent launch of Anglianbus’ 146 service, it has emerged that First are planning on making some changes to their X2 route.

 On the 26^th of November, First announced that they will be repainting one of their buses into a new X2 livery. There is a photography competition where photographs of the newly painted bus working the X2 should be emailed to them. The winning photo will be displayed on the front cover of their new timetable which will be launching in the new year. Not only this, the winner will also be receiving an annual bus pass for First Norfolk & Suffolk! This is an incredible opportunity to save a lot of money on bus tickets!

I have had reports that First drivers have been explaining that their buses are emptier now, and one driver suggested that the X2 will be running three times an hour in the new year, with the possibility of a shuttle service from Beccles to Norwich to try and regain customers.

This begs the question would First have done this if the 146 never happened? Who knows, but for now, the war continues…
