Probably the bus enthusiast's favorite day of the East Anglia Transport Museum calender is the annual event centered around buses. This year it takes a new name of 'Hop on a bus day'. This year the event takes place on Sunday 24th June between 10.30am and 5pm. This event offers free excursions to places of interest, offering awesome photography opportunities, further to this in previous years there has been free rides to the AnglianBus depot in Ellough Industrial Estate.
Finally, to end the 2013 season is the end of season gala weekend. Every available vehicle from the East Anglia Transport museum will bus out on the museums roads including trams, trolleybuses, trains and buses. The event takes place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of September. On Saturday the museum will be open until 9pm to allow free rides round the museum by dark.
Last year's bus event was centered around the anniversary of ECW. One of the most popular vehicles present was D367 JJD, the last ECW built. (c) Kieran Smith |
