I met up with fellow enthusiast Daniel Whiting today to do a bit of spotting and to try and find out about any local news that may pop up. I will first mention that the 36 that I needed to take to get into the city turned up 14 minutes late and was 36172 Gemini 2; which is a rather unusual allocation to say the least. My second spot of they day was Anglian Versa AU11EPF making an appearance on the 004, due to regular Solo AU58AKN still being out of service due to engine malfunctions.
On the subject of Anglian, the last Brighton&Hove East Lancs Lolyne has appeared out of the paintshop boasting a fresh coat of Anglian colours, seen here looking very smart at the back of the Ellough yard. Also noted present was a MAN EcoCity undergoing inspection by a MAN official, hence the presence of a regular diesel powered Scania on the 146 this afternoon.
Aswell as Beccles, we visited Yarmouth just to see what was about and we noted two Dennis Dart SLFs at the back of Caister Road which have been confirmed withdrawn thanks to the arrival of four Alexander Pointer 2s from Essex. The two withdrawn vehicles are as follows:
43433 - P433 NEX
42448 - R448 CCV
On a more personal note, I managed to complete my AnglianBus photograph fleet list today with the sighting of AU11EPF and YN57HPZ at the depot :D
Was a lovely day and will let u know with more info on he current X1 buses :D
ReplyDelete20514 has had that problem for a while I have followed it at least twice with what looks like the hazards stuck on. The Anglian solo is in the bodyshop yard not the mechanical I did see someone doing body stuff on her
ReplyDeleteYou would have thought the amount of old Rackheath solos now at Beccles for repair would be replaced there are about three there now I think.
