Regular A47 passengers were greeted on the 09:15 bus to
Gorleston this morning with some very unfortunate news,, of the A47 Service cancellation,
as the new ‘anglianbus Great Yarmouth area’ timetables were made available on
board the bus, the words “terrible” and “it must be replaced by something” Was what I heard a lot from fellow passengers, as the some 40 people made the journey between Norwich
& Great Yarmouth Via Brundall & Blofield. Most if not all were very
displeased with the replacement konectbus 52 & anglianbus 7.
The driver was trying to help by saying “If you want to get
to Yarmouth you got to get a konectbus to Acle then First bus to Yarmouth.” I got talking to an elderly gentleman who was telling me he
made the regular journey from Brundall to Great Yarmouth around twice a week for
nearly five years now! I heard a man said he’ll be phoning the council later.So it sounds like the A47 users will be putting up a fight for the bus. I myself will be affected as I use the bus from Yarmouth nearly every week to visit family.
