Part 2 ~ Skegness

Stagecoach Lincoln are the only operator to serve Ingoldmells, Skegness. They operate a number of services through this busy town, which unfortunately had a fatality a few years back. Whilst at Ingoldmells, I saw:

  • Numerous Wright Geminis, in the purple & gold variation of the Stagecoach Beach-ball livery.
  • Numerous East Lancs Lolynes, also in the purple and gold colours.
  • Enviro 200s, in the generic StageCoach beachball colours
  • 6 partially open-top ALX400s for their 3 Coastal Seaside services: Candy (pink, candy floss, 17673, BLZ1423), TIL7901 (17674, Rocky, In rainbow colours), Pierre (WOI3001, 17675), Sandy (17676 PIX4456), Shelly (WOI3002, 17677) and PSU443 (17678, named Sally Seasider, blue livery). These buses replace MCW Metrobuses that previously operate here. But it isn't just ALX400s on this open top service. I was lucky to see Hattie, IUI5454, an Alexander RL Volvo Olympian, originally registered as S314CCD when with South Coast services, from new, in 1998. Up until 2010, it was based at Stagecoach in Grimsby.
