Rare Spots: February '16

On the second addition of the series this year, we'll start with Konectbus 901 VX51RJZ. As you are aware, the bus is currently on loan to sister company Anglianbus. In my last post, I wrote about how it had been kept to the less frequent and far flung routes to keep it out the public eye as the bus isn't yellow. February was a completely different story! 901 was noted on the 87 on Wednesday 3rd, and has been spotted regularly on the 85, 86 and 84.

Elsewhere at Go-Ahead, double deckers are becoming a regular occurance on the 53 between Wroxham and Costessey, with the fleet of regular liveried Enviro400s appearing alongside some of the old Express branded vehicles. At Sanders, a photograph posted on Flickr which was taken yesterday has made it to this post. Southlancs photographed 904 SGF965, new to Parks of Hamilton as LSK496 and later registered SF06WEC, working Sanders route 6 in Great Yarmouth which operates between North Walsham and the seaside town. The 6A which is displayed then operates from North Walsham to Cromer.
Over at First, the only sighting I'll report is one which caused quite a stir on social media at the time. Yellow Line branded President 32106 LT02ZCV was sighted on Pink Line service 12 on Tuesday the 9th. The bus was the first double decker to receive the yellow version of the colour branded livery, and is now joined by two other Volvo B7TLs.

If you see any rare workings or have any photos you'd like to feature on the blog, please contact me by email at zak.nbp@gmail.com.

Also, the fleet lists have now been updated and are so on the 1st of each month. Click the Fleet Lists tab to head over!
