First to Expand Charcoal Line

Today a number of changes to First's Network Norwich have been made to commence on Sunday 14th May. These changes are now on Vosa and are as follows:

Red Line 23/24
The temporary diversion route on services 23, 23A and 23B which operates via Salhouse Road rather than Plumstead Road East will become the permanent route following positive feedback from passengers and drivers.

Green Line 14/15
Service 15 will be extended to Acle in order to provide a connection with the X1 and X11 services to and from Great Yarmouth, Belton and Lowestoft, however as a result of this the service will no longer serve Blofield Heath.

Service 30/30A/30B
First will be extending three buses a day to serve parts of Taverham, Thorpe Marriott and Drayton villages which are not covered by the Yellow Line services.

NEW services 41 and X41 will provide direct main road connections between Norwich City Centre and Bungay. Buses will operate via Ditchingham and will serve all bus stops along the main road to Poringland and Norwich. The X41 will offer journey times between Bungay and Norwich of just 45 minutes. As a result of this, minor timetable changes will be made to existing service 40.

It is expected that a number of Volvo B9TL Wright Eclipse-Gemini's will be acquired for the new services.
