Fleet Update: First

30887 operating the 1B in Yarmouth last week
These just keep on coming! A lot is happening at First Eastern Counties at the moment, and here I can bring you up to date with the goings on. Firstly, ex-South Yorkshire 32955 X611HLT entered service over the weekend and has been sighted on service 8 between Caister and the James Paget Hospital. Meanwhile, ex-Essex 30887 W742DWX has been transferred to Lowestoft on a permanent basis, leaving her stay in Great Yarmouth rather short. Instead, Norwich have sent over two Volvo B9TL Wright Eclipse-Gemini 2's 36172 BD11CFV and 36180 BD11CDZ for the summer season, with the latter already pressed into service on the X11s yesterday whilst their own 36166 BD11CFK arrived at Simon Morris in Ipswich yesterday afternoon for repaint into the Blue Line livery. Back at Lowestoft, 33820 YX63LKK and 33822 YX63LKM join sister 33821 YX63LKL in having their X1 vinyl removed, leaving just "EXCEL" written on the side of the bus.
