First to make further changes to Norwich Network

Since First's revamp of the Norwich Network in September this year, First have been speaking with customers and stakeholders to make sure the Norwich Network is even better. They will be making changes to Pink, Purple and Orange Line service from January 6th 2013.

After discussions with passengers and stakeholders, the frequency of the 11/11A Pink Line services will now be run every 10-12 minutes Monday to Saturday. As a further improvement, there will also be extra peak time buses.
11/11A now has a more suitable timetable for working times at the N&N Hospital and for Sprowston and other residents.
There are no futher changes to the 11/11A Pink Line services on a Sunday.

Orange Line
Since the introduction of these 'Orange' services, First are pleased to be able to offer two buses a day from Spixworth Road in Old Catton. Adding to this, the Orange Line timetable has been amended to include extra peak hour running time to improve reliability. There will also be extra early evening services from the Norfolk and Norwich hospital
The 21 will now serve The Paddocks in Old Catton every 30 minutes, and service 22 will operate via Lodge Lane. Because of these changes, The Paddocks will be served with a fifteen minute comined frequency by the 13 and 21.
The Orange Line is due to be heavily affected from January 7th because of major roadworks on Dereham Road, near Old Palace Road.

Purple Line

Because of passenger reports, the Purple Line service will see extra journeys during the morning and evening peak times.  Timetable amendments see buses from Mulbarton, Long Stratton and Horsford run slightly earlier.. First say they have also allowed extra time on buses around the peak 0930 time for concessionary pass holders, to allow these services to run more punctually.

All of these changes come into effect on January 6th 2013.
