Local operators to offer free travel to unemployed youngsters

From January 1st to the 31st 2013, some of our local operators will be offering free bus travel to unemployed 18 year olds. KonectBus, AnglianBus, First and Norfolk Green will all be part of the 'Bus For Jobs' scheme which is run by Bus For Us and aims to offer free travel for people who are unemployed.
KonectBus have already released a statement on their website which says...

"Are you 18 years old or more, been out of work for more than three months and are trying to find a job? Or perhaps you need  to travel to job interviews or  are looking for training? If the answer is yes, konectbus together with Jobcentre Plus are offering a little extra help during early 2013."
KonectBus also says that to qualify for the Bus for Jobs initiative and the free travel on offer passengers must show their JobCentre Plus Travel Discount Card to the driver. The cards are available free of charge from Jobcentre Plus branches.  They also say passengers are also eligible if they claim Jobseekers’ Allowance, Incapacity Benefit, Employment and Support Allowance or Income Support and are actively engaged with a Jobcentre Plus adviser in returning to employment.

So far, Norfolk Green, AnglianBus and First have not posted anything on their website, but it is confirmed on the "Bus For Us" website.
