News comes that at midnight This Morning (2nd-3rd June 2012) Chambers Coaches of Suffolk was acquired by The Go-Ahead, This is the most recent in a series of Local buy outs from the major operator. Go-Ahead already owns Norwich operator Konectbus, and earlier this year brought, Anglian Bus & Hedingham Omnibuses. Which extends further Go- Aheads presence in East Anglia. Go-Ahead has successfully extended the Network of services of previous company's, Hedingham now has services out of Colchester and Anglian & Konect fleets have grown larger. The Chambers name will remain in place, but they have been moved to a new depot at Chilton Industrial Estate in Sudbury.

On June 2 2012, The Go-Ahead Group acquired HC Chambers & Son Limited, a small bus company operating on the Essex/Suffolk border.
Based in Bures, the company has 27 vehicles and 33 staff.
