Fleet Update ~ Sanders

Two of the Solars that Sanders took on last month
Many of you will have noticed that Sanders have been investing heavily in revamping their bus fleet lately. This started with the purchase of three OmniCity's from Anglian, followed by three Pulsar's from Reading Buses. BUSES Magazine also reported that ALX200 S468GUB had joined the fleet back in August, however no sightings have been reported.

These investments continue with the purchase of a Scania N230UD OmniCity (ex-demonstrator) YR10BBO. She's been given fleet number 115, and it is likely that she has been bought to replace withdrawn OmniDekka 112. Click here for more details.

115 has not yet received fleet livery, and is still operating in her original demonstrator colours.

  1. Went on this bus (YN06 NXS) yesterday a 9.30 from The Firs Cromer Road to Reepham a very comfortable bus but unfortuntley only one other person on it who got of at St Faiths so had the bus to myself for rest of journey. There was quite a few waiting for it at Reepham so hopefully it will be a success as Reepham needs a regular connection to Norwich

    1. Beestons got rid of the demo because of reliability issues

  5. What has happened to the two Tridents previously at North Walsham, and presumably all early date Ikarus's have gone? Thanks for any informative responses.

  8. Only one of the classic Ikarus buses (N593DWY) remains "available for use" on the Sanders fleet list. Which has now finally been updated, both 106 and 109 are on the list.

  10. Being based in North Walsham, have missed 106 and 109, they 'just disappeared!'. Now pushing my luck, does anyone know the fate of the classic Ikarus buses?!

  11. The only classic Ikarus is N593DWY, and that appears to be in Holt (on standby only), and it is not like Sanders will give the type a final running day as a send-off. It probably will never see service again.

  12. Should not have asked about the Tridents, one was broken down this early evening at Tombland, Norwich.
Thanks for the other comments as to the classic Ikarus buses, shame they went as the ones with original seating, not the ex-airport dual door conversions were lovely saloons to ride.

  13. The other day I went on the X11. It has very comfortable seats and a lovely view from inside. But was very expensive, it was worth it though. Thanks.
