On the day, there were a number of very odd allocations. One example was the use of AnglianBus 608 on the 587, which is run using vehicles from the Rackheath depot. On these vehicles, some of the graphics on the rear have disappeared. On 608, it now says "Carbon bus for a cleaner city".
Although it has happened before, this is quite an odd working. National Express were using Scania K340EB4/Caetano Levante on the 727. This is in a special livery commemorating the commenwealth games. Last year, the allover gold liveried coach worked the 727 to Norwich.
Another odd allocation on the day was the use of Konectbus W219 PRB on the 6/6A/X6. This is usually run by a dedicated fleet of Alexander Dennis Enviro400s and normally one or two Optare Tempos. Note the dodgey LEDs on the letter A.
Another rare allocation on the 587/588 was 512 operating the 588 throughout the day. These East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Tridents came from fellow Go-Ahead owned company Brighton and Hove. They are usually seen operating school services and occasionally Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth town services.
Also spotted was Coach Services Plaxton Paragon PN06 KKA, which had destination board for service CS35 to Methworld. I don't have any idea about this service, so if anyone else does pop a comment on this blog post!
Finally, later in the evening, Zak captured this picture of First Lowestoft based R451 CCV operating the X2. Whilst the bus station is closed the X2 is departing from Surrey Street, outside Norfolk Tower, along with AnglianBus 146 and First X1 (Eastbound)
coach services operate CS25 on a wednesday methworld to norwich via brandon but not thetford always a coach but not the same coach
ReplyDeleteThe 6 doesn't interlink their buses with 6a/x6. the 3/6 have 5 enviro 400's while x6/6a use 3 tempos and a e400 kb livery. And I'd prefer a Dodgy 'a' which is still readable compared to what was on the 587/8 :L
